Our Principal

Introducing Miss Collins...

I have been teaching since 2004 in various Catholic schools, largely in the Toowoomba Diocese. During this time, I have held a variety of leadership roles in both curriculum and pastoral care, including Head of Department for Religious Education, and Health and Physical Education, as well as Head of House, Assistant Principal Religious Education and Assistant Principal Mission and Identity.  

Having been educated in the Mercy charism myself, I have a passion for Social Justice and through this I have established overseas immersion programs in developing countries in her previous schools which lead me to teach in Papua New Guinea in 2017 and 2018. I also taught in the UK in 2009. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies)/Bachelor of Education (Secondary) and a Masters in Religious Education.  

Being the eleventh of twelve children, I am a people person and community minded. I love the sense of warmth and family that is evident at St Mary’s School and in the wider Goondiwindi community. St Mary’s School offers excellent opportunities for all students from Prep through to Year 10 and I am very proud to lead this fantastic community.
